11/20/08-Markets Declines Sharply on More Bad News

11/20/08 - Today the Dow closed at 7,552.29 down 444.99 while NASDAQ lost 70.30 to close at 1,316.12. The S&P 500 was down 54.14 to close at 752.44. The Ten Year Treasury Note closed at 105.72 up 2.22 pushing the yield down to 3.07. Oil was down $4.45 per barrel to close at $49.65. The U.S. Dollar gained .01172 against the Euro so one Euro will buy US$1.24766. The market's decline was due to pessimism regarding the prospects of an auto bailout and increased nervousness over where this economy is headed - trading continues to be light.
