Dow Jones Average: The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed Monday at 13,112.44 up 19.28 or 0.15% from Friday's close of 13,093.16. For the year the Dow is up 7.32%. Of the Dow components 17 gained and 13 declined. The biggest gainer dollar-wise was IBM up $1.18 and percentage-wise was Hewlett-Packard up 1.85%. The biggest decliner dollar-wise and percentage-wise was UnitedHealth down 74 cents or 1.32%.

As of the open of the market on Tuesday the current divisor for the Dow Jones Industrial Average found at page C5 of Tuesday's Wall St. Journal is 0.130216081. Tuesday's trailing P/E ratio is 14.35 up from Monday's trailing P/E ratio of 14.31 (year ago it was 12.98); today's P/E estimate is 12.37 up from Monday's P/E estimate of 12.35 (year ago it was 12.35) and Tuesday's dividend yield is 2.59 unchanged from yesterday's dividend yield of 2.59 (last year it was 2.57). The average closing price (the closing numerator divided by 30) of Monday's Dow Jones Industrial Average was $56.96 up 13 cents from Friday's average of $56.83. The median closing price of Monday's Dow Jones Industrial Average was $52.83 (DIS/UNH) down 14 cents from Friday's median closing price of 52.97. The lowest volume was 3M and the highest volume again was Bank of America.
