Dow Jones Average: The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed Thursday at 13,292 up 24.52 or 1.87% from Wednesday's close of 13,047.48. For the year the Dow is up 8.79%. Of the 30 Dow components all 30 gained. The biggest gainer dollar-wise was IBM up $4.06 and percentage-wise was Bank of America up 5.03%.

As of the open of the market on Friday the current divisor for the Dow Jones Industrial Average found at page C6 of Friday's Wall St. Journal is 0.12914682. Friday's trailing P/E ratio is 14.73 up from yesterday's trailing P/E ratio of 14.46 (year ago it was 12.60); today's P/E estimate is 12.42 unchanged from Thursday's P/E estimate of 12.42 (year ago it was 11.52) and today's dividend yield is 2.57 down from yesterday's dividend yield of 2.62 (last year it was 2.71).
