The Dow Jones Industrial Average: The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed Thursday at 16846.13 down 21.38 or 0.13% from Wednesday's close of 16867.51. For the year the Dow is up 1.6%. Of the Dow components 7 gained, AT&T was changed and 22 declined. The biggest gainer dollar-wise and percentage-wise was Boeing up 96 cents or 0.76%. The biggest decliners dollar-wise were Procter & gamble and Walmart down 70 cents and percentage-wise was Walmart down 0.93%.

As of the open of the market on Friday the current divisor for the Dow Jones Industrial Average found at page C5 of Friday's Wall St. Journal is 0.15571590501117. Friday's trailing P/E ratio is 16.48 down from Thursday's trailing P/E ratio of 16.50 (last year it was 16.42).
