Fri WSJ pC5" Blue chips finish week strong with 52 point gain" by Kristina Peterson says blue chip stocks pushed to a multiyear high in a holiday shortened week as robust earnings reports overshadowed lackluster US economic data. For the week, the Dow rose 1.3% and is up 4 of the past 5 weeks. Volume was light on Thurs, only 3.7 bil shares traded on the NYSE below the average daily volume of 4.37 bil.
