Toward the end of this Blog is a list of the Dow 30 current CEOs, and a ranking of the Dow 30 components by market capitalization as of Dec. 9, 2013 and a summary of Dow 30 components' SEC filings as of Dec. 9, 2013.

IBD pB8 "Stocks quiet but leaders show cosntructive action" by Paul Whitfield says Friday's action was flat in lower voluem.
A read of the print editions of Monday's Barron's & Investor's News Daily; the combined Sat/Sun issues of the Wall St. Journal & Financial Times & Saturday's New York Times & Atlanta Journal & Constitution yielded the following stories about Dow Jones Industrial Average 30 component companies and the Dow with stories about the Dow aggregated first and then items about Dow Jones Industrial Average 30 companies presented alphabetically, followed by a separate table of Dow component's symbol and Friday's closing stock prices and related data in alphabetical order.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average: The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed Friday at 15755.36 up 15.93 or 0.10% from Thursday's close of 15739.43. For the week the Dow is down 264.84 or 1,65% from last Friday's close of 16020.20. For the year the Dow is up 20.23%. Of the Dow components 14 gained, Pfizer was unchanged and 15 declined. The biggest gainer dollar-wise and percentage-wise was Visa up $3.92 or 1.93% . The biggest decliner dollar-wise was Chevron down $1.09 and percentage-wise was Microsoft down 1.42% .
Friday's Dow Jones Industrial Average closing numerator was 2453.36 up 2.48 from Thursday's closing numerator of 2450.88. This is the sum of all 30 closing prices. A short cut to the Dow numerator is to multiply the closing Dow by the Divisor. Now, if you divide the Dow numerator change for today by the divisor (0.15571590501117) you get the change in today's Dow. A dollar increase or decrease in a Dow stock results in a $6.42 change in the Dow Index.
NYT pB7 "Eyes on Fed stimulus, investors take a hiatus" & Sat. AJC pA16 "Stocks tick up after downturn" by AP says stocks closed slightly higher on Fri but not enough to avoid a 2nd losing week in a row.
FT p13 "Wall Street" says United Technologies slipped 1% after it forecast earnings wold rise 7% to 11% barely meeting analysts' targets and gave a rev view that fell short of Wall St. expectations.
As of the open of the market on Monday the current divisor for the Dow Jones Industrial Average found at page B6 of Saturday's Wall St. Journal is 0.15571590501117. Monday's trailing P/E ratio is 16.18 up from Friday's trailing P/E of 16.16 (last year it was 14.74). Monday's P/E estimate is 14.98 down from Friday's P/E estimate of 15.00 (year ago it was 12.59) and Monday's dividend yield is 2.20 up from Friday's dividend yield of 2.14 (last year it was 2.68). The Dow's all-time high was 16,097.33 on November 27, 2013. The 12 year low close for the Dow was on March 9, 2009 when it fell to 6,547.05.
The average closing price (the closing numerator divided by 30) of Friday's Dow Jones Industrial Average was $81.79 up 9 cents from Thursday's average closing price of $81.70. The median closing price of Friday's Dow Jones Industrial Average was $78.53 (HD/WMT/) up 2 cents from Thursday's median closing price of $78.51. (HD/WMT). The lowest volume was Travelers and the highest volume was Cisco.
If Friday morning before the market opened you had purchased 100 shares of each of the Dow Jones Industrial Average 30 shares (assuming you could buy fractional shares and assuming no transaction costs or dividends) and sold at the close you would have made $248 ($245,336 - $245,088).
MarketWatch 12/13/13 Fri. 4:10 pm by Victor Reklaitis says US stocks closed flat to slightly higher on Friday after a choppy session with little economic news, finishing a down week on a mostly positive note. The S&P 500 SPX -0.01% was roughly unchanged, edging down 0.18 point to close at 1,775.32, ending with a 1.7% decline for the week. The Dow Jones Industrial Average DJIA +0.10% rose 15.93 points, or 0.1%, to 15,755.36, finishing with a 1.7% drop for the week. Those two indexes suffered their second straight weekly loss, pressured by speculation that strong recent economic data and the U.S. budget deal will push the Federal Reserve to taper its stimulus measures next week. It's the first time they've dropped for two weeks in a row since the week ended Oct. 4. The Nasdaq Composite COMP +0.06% gained 2.57 points, or 0.1%, to finish at 4,000.98 on Friday. The tech-heavy index lost 1.5% for the week, after rising for four weeks in a row.
