That would put it at 8th since 1900 in terms of eprcentage gain & 7th in length.
WSJ pC1 "On Wall St, investors plot next move" by E.S. Browning says that inflation has eroded almost half the Dow's overall gain of 272% since '94 and gives as examples Disney's nominal gain of 273% (inflation adjusted 142%); Procter & Gamble 401% (inflation adj 225%), McDonald's 555% (325%) & Coca-Cola is u 200% but inflation adjusted is 95%.

FT p13 "Dow Jones soars to fresh high" by Michael MacKenzie, Arash Massoudi says the increase was buoyed by the Fed's bond purchases.
IBD pB4 "Nasdaq follows throughy as indexes hit new highs" by Victor Reklaitis says the main indexes ramped up to multiyear highs Tues as the market flashed a bullish sign and the current outlook is a confirmed uptrend.
AJC pA13 "The remarkable road back" by AP says the Dow has rebounded in half the time as the most optimistic case put forth by BusinessWeek in an '08 story.
As of the open of the market on Wednesday the current divisor for the Dow Jones Industrial Average found at page C5 of Wednesday's Wall St. Journal is 0.130216081. Wednesday's opening trailing P/E ratio is 15.56 down from yesterday's trailing P/E ratio of 15.58 (year ago it was 14.28); today's opening P/E estimate is 12.53 unchanged from Tuesday' s P/E estimate of 12.53 (year ago it was 12.45) and today's opening dividend yield is 2.47 down from yesterday's opening dividend yield of 2.49 (last year it was 2.55). The Dow's all-time high was 14,253.77 on March 5, 2013 (beating 14,164.53 on Oct. 9, 2007). The 12 year low close for the Dow was on March 9, 2009 when it fell to 6,547.05.
Tuesday's Dow Jones Industrial Average closing numerator was 1,856.07 up 16.40 from Monday's closing numerator of 1,839.67. This is the sum of all 30 closing prices. A short cut to the Dow numerator is to multiply the closing Dow by the Divisor. Now, if you divide the Dow numerator change for today by the divisor (0.130216081) you get the change in today's Dow. A dollar increase or decrease in a Dow stock results in a $7.68 change in the Dow Index.
The average closing price (the closing numerator divided by 30) of Tuesday's Dow Jones Industrial Average was $61.87 up 55 cents from Monday's average of $61.32. The median closing price of Tuesday's Dow Jones Industrial Average was $54.99 (DIS/UNH) up 45 cents from Monday's median closing price of $54.54. The lowest volume was Travelers and the highest volume again was Bank of America.
If Tuesday morning before the market opened you had purchased 100 shares of each of the Dow Jones Industrial Average 30 shares (assuming you could buy fractional shares and assuming no transaction costs or dividends) and sold at the close you would have made $1,640 ($185,607 - $183,967).
3/5/13 Tuesday 4:24 pm MarketWatch by Andria Cheng says The S&P Retail Index rose 0.7% to a record closing high of 725.33, joining the Dow that also hit a record high. Home Depot Inc.s/hd HD +0.26% , the largest U.S. home-improvement retailer and a Dow member, also reached a closing high of $70.47. Its smaller rival Lowe's Cos. LOW +0.86% inched up 0.9% to $38.76, near its record high set in February. Despite higher payroll taxes, tax refund delays and gas price inflation pinching consumers, investors have been cheered by better economic data and a rebound in the housing market. Wal-Mart Stores Inc. /WMT +0.63% rose 0.6% to $73.72. Target Corp. TGT +0.36% gained 0.4% to $66.68. J.C. Penney Co.
