The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed Friday at 14909.60 down 114.89 or 0.76% from Thursday's close of 15024.49. For the week the Dow is up 110.2 or 0.74% from last Friday's close of 14799.4. Of the Dow components 3 gained and 27 declined. The biggest gainer dollar-wise and percentage-wise was Home Depot up $1.20 or 1.57%. The biggest decliner dollar-wise and percentage-wise was IBM down $4.62 or 2.36%.
As of the open of the market on Friday the current divisor for the Dow Jones Industrial Average found at page C5 of Friday's Wall St. Journal is 0.130216081. Friday's trailing P/E ratio is 16.42 up from yesterday's trailing P/E ratio of 16.30 (last year it was 13.89); today's P/E estimate is 13.35 unchanged from Thursday's P/E estimate of 13.35 (year ago it was 12.15) and today's dividend yield is 2.43 down from yesterday's dividend yield of 2.45 (last year it was 2.67).
